A man who misses “your favorite pub on earth” beyond the lockdown creates a stunning virtual version

Digital artists have spent months elaborately completing a virtual version of the iconic Liverpool pub.

Missed his regular visit to the swan BlockadeAlexander, a game tester on the Sony PlayStation, decided to use his free time to model a virtual version of his favorite mouthpiece.

Alexander said echo : “Swan is my favorite pub, I dare say on earth.

“One of the things that sets Swan apart from other pubs is its appearance, as well as its mood and music.

“It has a signature style, it’s very unique and instantly recognizable to anyone there.”

A video of his virtual swan pub, created by Alexander, shows the incredible length he went to reproduce the real details as much as possible.

Alexander explained how to reproduce such a realistic version of the pub.

He states: “I created Swan with Unreal Engine. It’s industry standard software on which many games are built.

“I’ve been working on it for over three months, but most of the time the swan was closed, so I had to do a lot of work based on the reference images I found online.”

Alexander said he put together all the details from the pub photos that the drinker posted on Google and Instagram.

He added: “I have a monitor full of pictures of the same drunk people I’ve been watching for months, so I can see what’s around them.

“I worked three or four hours after work and on the weekends, and I have to admit that I took a couple of weeks off from work to get the job done.

“But if I had the opportunity to regain time to do something different, I wouldn’t.”

After he posted his virtual swan on the pub’s Facebook page, it received hundreds of likes and comments from patrons.
