The host of Football Focus will be shown a record of those enslaved by Robert between 1817 and 1832 in the next episode of the BBC documentary show.

Stunned Alex Unable to believe what she was seeing, “In my family, this doesn’t sound like it comes out of my mouth, but did Robert Francis Coombs own people? I ask.

Historians explained that Coombs was favored for his light skin tone, and it was not uncommon for free blacks to own slaves at the time.

Fighting tears, Alex replies: “In terms of explaining my emotions behind it, I think it goes against everything I stand on, who I am.”

In the preview clip, she adds:

A former soccer player also discovered that Robert had a relationship with one of his slaves and had two children with one of the women he owned, Eleanor Francis Henry.

When he died in 1851, the wealthy landowner saw all his children at his will.

Alex became emotional again, saying, “It was hard to take. Ownership of human life is very wrong. I don’t think much talk about blacks who own slaves.”

Alex’s dad went out of his family when he signed the 8-year-old Arsenal youth team, but was near Nanfiricita, part of the Windrush generation who lived in the East End of London. ..

She and Alex’s grandfather, John Scott, emigrated to England after marrying in Jamaica in 1946.

Alex made history for the first time as the first female critic of Sky Sports in 2018 after joining the BBC team at the 2018 Summer World Cup.

She is also the first permanent female host in Football Focus’s 47-year history.

Alex was recently forced to run into criticism of her accent, saying she was proud to come from a working-class London family.

House of Lords Digby Jones suggested that speech lessons be needed to help pronounce the letter “g” at the end of the word.

A former Snooty minister tweeted, “There are no competitors in Alex, Feng Singh, Loin, Boxin, Kayakin, Weightlift Inn, or Swimmin.”

But Alex, a contributor to The Sun, said, “I’m from a working-class family in East London and I’m proud. Make sure your class, accent, and appearance decisions don’t interfere with you. I argued.
