A man who jumped 200 feet into the sea had to airlift to the hospital after dislocating his shoulder on Wednesday.
People on the beach at Durdle Door in Dorset witnessed an unnamed tombstone falling over a famous limestone arch and initially unable to resurface.
The Coast Guard rescued a man before an air ambulance was called to a crowded beach.
He was then taken to Dorsett County Hospital for further treatment. mirror..
The video shows the moment when a thrill-seeker jumped off a cliff and some spectators cheered.
But when it became clear that the man was injured, a scream was heard.
Talk to Sun“I was really scared to see him,” said witness Kawar Kawaja. “We didn’t know if he would come back or how badly he was injured.”
He added that his wife was initially afraid that the man was about to die.
Kawaja was called by an ambulance by a spectator before the man jumped off.
Since 2005, at least 20 people have been killed in the UK by jumping into water from high places (called tombstones).
A similar incident in which an air ambulance was called to Durdle Door last year due to Toom Stoner made a national headline.
