Men’s Health Week begins June 14th, and this year industry charity Ben is focusing on prostate cancer. One in eight men diagnosed with prostate cancer shares information about what prostate cancer is, its symptoms, and those who are at high risk.
In an industry that employs a significant number of men, everyone has a duty to keep men safe and encourage them to take care of their health and well-being.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, especially men over the age of 50. The risk is even higher for black men and men with a family history of prostate cancer. Therefore, it is important to be especially vigilant when a close relative is diagnosed.
We have information and advice to help people understand what prostate cancer is, its symptoms, and those who are at increased risk. There are also links to resources to help you start a conversation with the GP.
As Delen knew, getting checked early can make all the difference. Derren Martin, Head of Evaluation at caphpi, shared his story to raise awareness and encourage men to check out sooner – Look at his story here..
