Best and worst Enfield and Haringey GPs as rated by patients

NHS England commissiona the GP Patient Survey annually and this year’s results show that nationally 71% of patients described their GP as ‘good’.

One surgery in Enfield and one in Haringey dramatically outperformed this figure, boasting more than 90% in patient satisfaction.

But one GP surgery in Enfield received the worst patient feedback in the country, with just 11% of patients rating it ‘good’.

Best performing GPs

 

Boundary Court Surgery in Edmonton received the highest satisfaction in Enfield, with 92% of patients rating it ‘good’.

A total of 81% said that they waited less than a week to get an appointment at the surgery.

Half of patients said that they were able to speak to their preferred GP almost always or a lot of the time.

There was a similar story at The Muswell Hill Practice in Haringey.

Nine in 10 patients said that they would describe their experience at the GP as ‘good’.

A total of 84% of patients were satisfied with the appointments they were offered at the surgery.

Other high-performing surgeries in Haringey and Enfield include The Heron Practice near Finsbury Park, Stroud Green Medical Centre and Highgate Group Practice.

All three of these surgeries were rated ‘good’ by at least 85% of patients.

Worst performing GPs

 

On the other end of the spectrum, one Enfield GP received the lowest patient satisfaction in the whole of England.

Just 11% of patients at Medicus Select Care in Tenniswood Road, Enfield rated the surgery as ‘good’.

Problems included dissatisfaction with the appointment times available (82%) and difficulty getting through to the practice on the phone (78% said it was not easy).

In Haringey, Bridge House Medical Practice in Harringay Ladder had the lowest satisfaction, with only 42% of patients describing their experience as ‘good’.

Latymer Road Surgery in Edmonton, The Ordnance Unity Centre in Bullsmoor and Eagle House Surgery in Ponders End were all rated ‘good’ by less than half of patients.

All of the surgeries rated in Haringey and Enfield have been traced on the map below with pop ups revealing their overall rating.

A spokesperson for NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board said: “In what continues to be a difficult period, we are pleased to see overall patient satisfaction remains high and that there are practices with significantly improved results across Enfield and Haringey; however there are clearly opportunities for improvement and we are reviewing the results of the survey in detail.

“The results will inform how we respond to the national Delivery plan for recovering access to primary care.

“We continue to work closely with practices and patient groups to share learning, innovation and to make it easier and quicker for people to get the help they need from primary care.”
