Boris Johnson is open to whether Covid has escaped from the Wuhan Institute

Boris Johnson said he was open to whether the coronavirus pandemic was caused by a leak from a Chinese laboratory.

At a press conference at the end of the G7 summit in Cornwall, the prime minister said the best advice he currently has is to jump from animals to species.

“At this point, the advice we have received is that this particular disease caused by zoonotic diseases does not appear to come from the lab,” he said.

“Obviously, anyone who is wise will want to stay open-minded about it.”

The head of the World Health Organization said the G7 leaders had discussed the possibility that the Covid-19 pandemic was caused by a leak from a Chinese laboratory.

Dr. Tedros Adhanom Gebreyes said he was “bred up” and “discussed the origin.”

WHO’s research into the causes of pandemics does not rule out the theory behind the outbreak.

In February, WHO and a team of Chinese experts said the virus was “very unlikely” to invade the population as a result of a laboratory-related incident at the Wuhan Institute of Vase.

However, WHO states that “all hypotheses are still in the table” and wants to carry out the second phase of that work. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden ordered an investigation into the origin, including the leak theory.

Dr. Tedros told reporters at the G7 Summit: “We believe that all hypotheses should be open and we need to go to the second stage to really know the origin.”

Nearly 3.75 million people have died, he said. “These people deserve respect because they know what the origin of the virus is and can prevent it from recurring.”

Mike Ryan, Executive Director of the WHO Health Emergency Program, said: “As for the origin of the virus, WHO considers it very important to understand the origin of this particular virus that caused the pandemic.

“There are many hypotheses about its origin, and the international team sent to the team by Dr. Tedros at the request of the World Health Assembly conducted a lot of research and research.

“All hypotheses are still in the table.

“Further research is needed to elucidate the origin of the virus.

“We will move forward as quickly as possible in that second phase, incorporate further expertise and work with Member States to ensure the right mandates, the right teams, and the right approach for everyone to move forward. I would like to work together to understand the origin of the virus. “

Asked if Wuhan’s laboratory leak theory was discussed at the summit, Dr. Tedros said, “Yes, it was raised and we discussed the origin.”
