There were immediate concerns from players in both countries as his teammates formed a barrier around him.
Medical staff rushed to the stadium and CPR was carried out.
Eriksen’s wife entered the pitch and was comforted by Kasper Schmeichel, who was in tears himself.
Finnish players and match officials then left the pitch before UEFA confirmed the suspension of “for emergency medical care.”
Danish players were formed around the teammates when they were immediately treated.
29-year-old Eriksen has over 100 caps in his country.
