Essex-based charities are encouraged to apply for financial support worth up to £5,000 from the Foundation to keep their services and projects running.
Administered by the Essex Community Foundation, an independent charitable trust, the Essex Foundation was established by the Essex County Council in 2000 to provide annual support to the volunteer and community sectors in the county. Since its inception, the fund has funded nearly £1.5 million of his grants.
Organizations and projects (arts, culture, heritage) that support unpaid caregivers, improve the environment, involve people in environmental projects, provide community resources, or provide projects, etc.) are all subject to consideration.
Groups can claim up to £5,000 for core and operational expenditures, project costs or capital items.
Essex County Council Speaker Eddie Johnson said: We encourage you to contact ECF to discuss the funds you need to continue your important work helping those in need in your community. ”
Philanthropic activities funded in the last few years include interactive music performances in care homes, mental health support for young people, and forest welfare sessions for children with Down syndrome.
ECF Program Director Andy Payne Worpole said:
“The committee has a particular interest in supporting small volunteer groups and projects working in poor areas where facilities are scarce.
“There is a simple application form on our website. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your ideas, our grants team will be happy to assist you on 01245 355947. You can also contact us through our website and social media.”
The deadline for applications to the Essex Fund is 5:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023. For more information, please visit www.essexcommunityfoundation.org.uk.
