Collie’s star joins “hero” Sally Ann Matthews, celebrating a huge charity feat

Coronation Street’s Sally Ann Matthews was joined by her co-star when she officially finished her huge charity feat.

Jenni Konner’s actress set out to raise money for five different charities and run 50 5ks.

Sally-Anne challenged her 50th birthday last year, even though she admitted that she was “never sporty.”

However, after celebrating her big day, Thorpestar decided to continue running and complete a 5km run for the next year’s age, with the aim of raising £ 5,000.

On Wednesday, she joined her co-star outside Coronation Street, set in Media City, and she finished her last five kilometers, including actress Millie Gibson, who ran with her.

Julie Golding, who plays Shona Pratt, was also one of the TV stars who helped Sally-Anne finish her charity work.

Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd Grimshaw of Soap, also ran his 5k to show support and participated through Zoom.

Sharing the video on Instagram, Sally Ann said. “Oh, nice @garpierce. Thank you for taking this last run virtually with me!

“You have been in constant support. Someday we will run Salford Quays together.”

Sally Ann, who said she couldn’t get on the bus before starting the challenge, said: , Fit the process and, more importantly, raise some money for a well-deserved charity.

“Thank you very much to everyone who donated and sent me a message of support. It all helped me keep hitting the pavement.”

Corrie Star was able to raise over £ 6,000 for a charity that acts for others, behavior for cancer, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, the Matt Hampson Foundation, and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Before her last 5k, Sally Ann was flooded with messages of support from some very famous faces.

Collie’s Sally Carman, Corson Smith, Barbara Knox, Ruth Langsford, Joe Pascal and Adam Woodyat were among her applicants.

Sally Ann, who is posing in front of a signboard on the huge Salford-based Coronation Street set on Wednesday, said on Instagram, “250 kilometers later !!”

She also shared a group snap of people who helped her in her 50th run and commented: It’s the 50th time with me! I can’t believe I’m done at all.

“Honestly, I can’t believe I started, but I’m glad I did it. It’s a great day.”

And her famous friends and fans sent me a message right away.

Kelly Nylan’s actress Millie said “my hero,” and Julia said, “Congratulations monkey! You broke it!”

Sally Dinevol commented:
