Danson Park Fireworks 2021 Review: Crowded Events for All Ages-Olia Caushllari, Townley Grammar School

Only overnight, Danson Park turned into a kaleidoscopic light. A flashing light bulb illuminated the vehicles in each amusement park. Glow sticks danced in the hands of enthusiastic children, and the fusion of sparks illuminated the sky at the long-awaited fireworks display.

On November 6, 2021, the annual Danson Park Fireworks Festival was held in Bexley’s London borough. This bonfire night scene has been around for over 60 years, and people enthusiastically participated after COVID-19 restrictions prevented the 2020 event from being held.

At 6 pm, the park was open to the public and food and drink stands lined up in the area. There are plenty of game stalls in the park, such as hook ducks, and you can get lots of prizes and toys for £ 5 per purchase. A selection of trade fair rides suitable for both children and adults was available, with bumper car and carousel options.

Live music was played all night along with local band performances. Amelia Street When Prince Lee Park, Covers songs such as “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Mamma Mia”. Made by Kent Radio sponsored the event, hosting radio contests and giveaways on stage, and introducing each act. Around 9 pm, Mayor Bexley went up to the stage, joined the crowd for a 10-second countdown, and started the long-awaited fireworks display. A music medley was attached to the epic explosive show, and thousands of people gathered to see it.

According to the organizers, this great event raised a total of £ 103.5k. Welling Round Table..so Facebook post, They outlined how they donated “£ 1000” [to] A total of £ 1000 for the Christmas tree at Cannon on Welling High Street, £ 1000 for the Bexley Food Bank, and £ 2000 for the defibrillator at the Danson Park Boathouse. They intend to use this money to support “local charities, organizations and individuals.”

The event was great and aimed at all ages, with a game stand for kids, a fast fairground ride for teens, food and music for everyone. Danson Park Fireworks will be back again next year on November 5, 2022 to showcase the next exciting bonfire night.
