London (Reuters)-DAZN, a sports streaming service owned by billionaire Len Bravatnik’s Access Industries, is “probably” interested in BT Sport, a British BT sports television unit with content that includes premier league football. ..

When asked if the company could qualify for the English Premier League (EPL) by purchasing BT Sport, DAZN Chairman Kevin Mayer said “probably.”

He told a television executive audience at the Royal Television Society Convention in Cambridge on Wednesday.

“I’m philosophical about it, but whatever makes the most sense. BT Sport is a great business.”

Five months after BT said he was considering selling the stake in the unit, he was asked if the talk about the deal was still alive, he said: “It’s really quiet.”
