Destiny’s Child Star Kelly Rowland Donates £ 28K to Help Women in County Antrim with Cancer Get Lifesaving Treatment

The highly successful American singer Kelly Rowland has donated £ 28,000 to an Antrim woman with incurable cancer, allowing her to receive the potentially life-saving treatment she needs.

37-year-old Julie Lilith White Abbey In September 2020, she was diagnosed with BRCA1 positive and triple negative breast cancer.

A month later, doctors said the cancer had spread and Julie’s life expectancy was dramatically shortened.

Julie repeated chemotherapy and surgery multiple times, but her cancer began to grow again.

As a result, expert consultants said they needed to urgently find a way to self-fund drugs that had promising results in clinical trials of their type of cancer.

Julie, a television production coordinator who has worked on things like Derry GirlsHad previously raised over £ 10,000 to help other cancer patients.

Encouraged by family and friends, she founded GoFundMe on June 19 to help the public raise funds to access this “coveted lifeline” for her health. I asked.

A week after Julie created the fundraising campaign, Kelly Rowland donated £ 28,000 in the children’s names Titan and Noah Weather Spoon.

Julie said she didn’t expect a donation from Roland, best known as a member of Destiny’s Child, one of the world’s best-selling girl bands.

After singing with Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams, Kelly made a successful solo career.

Roland, 40, has a husband, Tim Witherspoon, and two children. 6 year old Titan Jewel Weather Spoon and 6 month Noah John Weather Spoon. Donations from “Titan & Noah Weatherspoon” are listed as top donations on Julie’s GoFundMe page.

Julie talked about the generous donations from the singers “Work” and “When Love Takes Over”, “It’s such a wonderful and kind act that it was regained by the donation.

“There were donations from Australia, the United States, Switzerland, and the locals. I can’t believe how far my page arrived.

“I am very grateful to each and every one who helped me.”

Julie’s hope is the medicine she needs NHS..

This is because her £ 80,000 goal covers only one year’s costs, while she may need the drug indefinitely.

She also wants to make it available to anyone in need of the drug in the UK.

Julie said: “I am very grateful to everyone who has helped me. I am grateful to all the kindness and support I have shown, whether £ 5 or £ 500.

“That’s incredible.”
