Energy drinking will be an important theme at the European Energy Conversion Conference

How can organizations, including health clubs and leisure businesses, generate clean energy and take advantage of their “energy drinking” attitude to reduce CO2 emissions? These are some of the issues that will be discussed at this year’s European Energy Conversion Conference.

Held from May 31st to June 2nd at the International Exhibition Conference Center in Geneva, Palexpo, with speakers from organizations such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the United Nations (UN), about 3,500 people. Participants will participate. The three-day program includes 17 plenary sessions and over 100 events, including discussions, roundtables, interviews, workshops, and field visits.

The theme of this year’s conference is “less, more”, and more local employment is needed and more to reduce energy usage, fossil fuel usage and CO2 emissions. The focus is on leading to a good quality of life and a protected climate.

Especially in the context of the Ukrainian War, where the era of energy insecurity has been unleashed, in addition to human tragedy, it has been suggested that energy drinking can be a solution to reduce CO2 emissions.

The theme of the first day is “From Global to Local: Everyone is involved and everyone is responsible”, and the second day is necessary to focus on behavioral and lifestyle changes and reduce the thirst for energy. We are considering practical solutions such as geothermal heating with neuroscientists who discuss collective changes in behavior. Day 3, “Time to Commit,” covers two key topics that drinking must gain a foothold: digital technology and energy mods.

As the fitness industry recently announced the Sport Environment and Climate Coalition (SECC), cross-border and cross-sectoral cooperation in urban and rural areas is essential to achieving climate goals. SECC was created by the Sports and Recreation Alliance. UK Active; Public Services Excellence Association (APSE); UK Sustainable Sports Association (BASIS); Sports England; Sports Scotland; Sport Wales and UK Sports, supporting the movement of the entire activities department towards Net Zero.

It is appropriate for this conference to be held in Grand Geneva, a region that crosses Switzerland (Geneva and Vaud, Switzerland) and France (Ein and Haute-Savoie provinces). This is part of the EU’s cross-border ecosystem migration program.

Stakeholders will share their experiences at the conference and explain how they ecologically adapted the local ecosystem. Experts and authorities in other countries such as Germany, Italy and Denmark will also share ways to promote energy drinking and reduce their dependence on energy.

Some health clubs in the industry are already working on energy drinking.Gold’s Gym has opened Carbon neutral gym In Berlin. The Jim Group purchases electricity from renewable energy sources and uses heat pumps instead of gas. SportsArt Has developed Eco-Powr, a cardio device that converts human energy generated during exercise into clean electricity. Verde’s treadmills take up to 200 watts of energy per hour.

Climate change is globally recognized as an emergency, with 192 countries and the European Union signing the Paris Agreement. Limiting global temperature rise to 2 ° C, preferably 1.5 ° C requires international coordination across all sectors.

By bringing together communities, ecosystem migration scientists and experts, economists and organizations, the Geneva Conference will unite all players who are willing to stop using fossil fuels and take on the challenge of fighting climate change. I am aiming for that. The intent is to strengthen our actions, develop innovation and bring about the necessary transitions.
