Former government head of the Covid Task Force apologizes for the “fuss” that left Bash during the blockade

The head of the former government unit, who created the Covid limit, apologized after she was given a bash leaving a “fuss” during the blockade.

Dozens of officials from the Cabinet Office’s Covid-19 Task Force are said to have attended the event to commemorate the retirement of Secretary Kate Josephs.

Bash was held on December 17, 2020 as the UK faced strict Covid restrictions and banned rallies under London and other tier systems.

Joseph, now Chief Executive Officer of the Sheffield City Council, tweeted that he met with a colleague for a drink today (Friday).

She states: “On the night of December 17, I gathered at our office in the Cabinet Office with a drink with a colleague who was working that day and showed that he had resigned as a civil servant.

“I’m really sorry for what I did and the anger that people feel as a result.

“Shefield suffered a great deal of damage during this pandemic. I feel free to apologize.

“The specific facts of this event are taken into account in the context of the Cabinet Office investigation. I did not attend the event at 10 Downing Street.

“We are grateful for the continued support of our colleagues and partners and need to ask the Cabinet Office to allow people to complete the investigation.”

Ms. Joseph said she was “fully cooperating” with the Cabinet Office’s investigation.

At the time of the event, London had just entered Tier 3 restrictions, parties were banned, and people were not allowed to be confused indoors with people outside the house.

On the day of the party, the government tweeted official guidance, stating: The rules of your layer. “
