London (Reuters)-Former Rothschild banker Gregoire Huse left the Centerview Paris office seven months after joining a U.S. investment banking boutique as a partner, sources familiar with the matter. I told Reuters.

He left Rothschild in December 2020, started working at Centerview in March and worked closely with French deal maker Matthew Pigasse, who started the Centerview business in Paris last year.

Heuzé participated in Centerview to support the development of activities in continental Europe. He was one of three Paris-based partners, along with Pigasse and former Lazard banker Nicholas Constant.

But different strategies led to his departure, sources said.

Heuzé is currently focusing on new entrepreneurial projects, but Centerview has agreed with him to continue working with the company, a second source said.

Centerview has been hiring for the past year to enhance its global operations in both Paris and New York, poaching three senior tech bunkers from Bank of America (NYSE :).
