George Clooney said he was “waiting for my switch to switch off” after he had a motorcycle accident that might have killed him.
The actor was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car on Sardinia in 2018. He was filming Catch-22 on an Italian island, arranging Joseph Heller’s book of the same name on television.
A crash occurred when Mercedes turned to him and Clooney was thrown out of the bike and hit the windshield.
The driver called Carabinieri in Italy and dispatched city police, ambulances and fire departments. While he was on the ground, he noticed a crowd gathering and people shooting him on the phone.
He told The Sunday Times: It’s okay now.
“If you’re getting public attention, what you realize when you’re on the ground thinking it’s the last moment of your life is, for some, just entertainment on your Facebook page.
“I’m a pretty positive person, but it obviously taught me that you’re really here for their entertainment.”
He added, “You want to take each one and shake them.”
Clooney celebrated his 60th birthday in May, with his wife Amal holding a party for a close friend.
He states: But it’s dead or dead. “
“I told Amal, knocking on a tree, I’m healthy. I’m still playing basketball with a young gangster. Feeling good.
“But in 20 years I will be 80-and 80 is a real number.
“I said it’s a black-capped kingfisher for the next 20 years. We need to celebrate it. We just have to focus on what we have to do and what we feel in our hearts.”
