“He’s a world-class talent”-Richard Agar’s joy after the capture of David Fushitu

Richard Agar welcomed David Fushitua’s signature after Leeds Rhinos overcame strong opposition to secure his signature.

Tonga International joined the club on a two-year contract after Sai managed to close the deal, despite interest in both sides of the world, including Super League Grand Finalist Catalans Dragons.

His arrival is a statement of intent from Rhinos, and the 27-year-old will join Aidan Sezer, Blake Austin and James Bentley in the club next season.

It’s a move that also pleased agar. Rhinos’ head coach was keen to add another substantive signature to his team, which now bears fruit.

“I’m very happy to sign David and I think he’ll be a great companion to our team,” said Agar.

“Undoubtedly, he’s a world-class talent. Just look at his highlight reels and see the epic attempts he can score to find out that he’ll soon be a favorite of the crowd at Rhinos.

“In modern times, his talented players are rarely able to compete in Super League clubs. It’s great for us to win the competition with several clubs to secure his signature. It is a boost.

“I understand why he was only 27 and didn’t play football like last season, but talking to him hopes he’ll be back in top shape with a Rhinos shirt. He is a player who loves to play with a smile, and he and his young family look forward to becoming part of the Rhinos family. “
