Ellis drug dealer jailed for more than 10 years for supplying cocaine

From March to June 2020, Julian Warwick was a member of an organized crime group who conspired to supply cocaine using encrypted cell phones.

Kent police launched an investigation after gaining access to Warwick’s encrypted conversations.

On March 22, 2021, police witnessed a rapid approach to Maplehurst. dartfordWarwick was sitting in a car parked right next to another car.

One of Warrick’s “criminal associates” was in another car containing seven bags of cocaine.

The bag weighed 7 ounces and had an estimated street value of £7,000 to £14,000.

Detectives also seized large amounts of cocaine and cash at two separate addresses for Ellis, along with money counters.

Warrick, who lives in Belvedere’s Regent Square, was later charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine between March 17 and March 23, 2021, and possession of criminal property, namely seized cash.

He pleaded guilty to both indictments at Maidstone Crown Court on October 13, 2021.

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, Warwick, 53, was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months in prison.

Officer Terry Hanlon said, “Warrick was a member of a criminal network that was involved in the cocaine mass supply.

“So they would have made a good profit while causing misery on the streets of Kent.

“These criminals thought they were going to be caught because they used encrypted communications, but that confidence was misplaced.

“Warwick is currently in prison and will seek forfeiture of the cash seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.”
