Investigation of a person falling from height from Layton’s scaffolding
Police are investigating after a man under construction has fallen from a high place.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, stood on the foothold of a facility on Belmont Park Road in Leyton.
Paramedics were called in at 2:25 pm on Monday (June 6) after the man fell onto a residential road.
A police officer and a London emergency service rushed to the scene and the person was taken to the hospital for treatment, but his condition is now said to be non-life-threatening.
Notified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), a spokesperson said he was working with Metropolitan police during the investigation while government agencies were investigating the regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare. ..
A Met spokesman said investigations into the fall situation are still ongoing.
