Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp Not happy with his team’s finish in a 3-3 draw with Brentford, the Reds insisted that they should have scored more goals to win the game.Goal score Mohamed Salah Wasted a great opportunity, especially to make it 4-2, Klopp hinted that despite the Egyptians scoring early, he felt he should find the other side of the net to kill the game.
Liverpool initially fell 1-0 as Ethan Pinnock shot a bee in front of them from close range, but Diogo Jota leveled for visitors only four minutes later.
Early in the second half, the Reds scored the 100th goal of the Premier League in Liverpool and came out in front of Salah.
However, Vitaly Janelt fired another homeside level before the thunderous Curtis Jones strike made it 3-2 thanks to the bias from Kristoffer Ajell.
However, substitute Joane Wissa pulled Brentford’s level twice with a cute dink over Alison to seal the points of Londoners against the alleged pursuit of Klopp’s title.
The nature of defending Liverpool’s recognized goals will be scrutinized, but Klopp feels his team should still have won the match and they would have taken more opportunities for goal scoring.
When asked if he enjoyed the game after the match, Klopp told Sky Sports:[I’m] I don’t know if having fun is the right word. It was a wild vehicle. They deserved three goals on how to play.
“It’s clear that I couldn’t handle the long ball properly today for a variety of reasons. I should have scored more goals. I had an incredible chance. I can’t remember any chances other than the goal in the second half. ..
“They deserve it. I don’t think you can control them well, either aggressively or with the ball. We have created many clear opportunities. We played really well aggressively. However, it could not be dealt with defensively.
“These things happen. I should have scored more. Even if I win 3-2 or 4-3, there are these struggles defensively. [Ivan] With Tony [Bryan] Mubuemo really worked. Brentford deserves points.
“Only Mo in front of the goal is a great soccer player. Mo usually scores in these situations, but not today. I have nothing to say about it.”
Klopp said, “When I play this kind of football, I have no problem accepting it. It’s football. You have to make something that deserves to win. They fought the right fight, so they also pointed. Worth it.
“I have a lot of respect for it. In the end there was a situation where I had to do better-and it could be a completely different game. Their goalkeeper put on his shirt with the ball he played. You should have number 10.
As a result, Liverpool cleared one point at the top of the Premier League table, but missed the chance to clear three rivals Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Reds will face Anfield’s City in the next league match next Sunday, before the Champions League group stage clashes with Porto.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson added to Sky Sports in the draw at Brentford:
“It was a great atmosphere and they were difficult for us. It’s a shame for us not to lead twice and see it.
“I had one or two chances to finish the match 2-1. That gives them a little hope. It’s football sometimes. Sometimes I’m disappointed with the result, but I have to acknowledge Brentford’s achievements.
“We are also an avid team, but there is plenty of room for improvement today. We had a little better control in the second half, but unfortunately we couldn’t keep the win.”
