Katie McGrin looked sensational when she went out in an impressive yellow outfit on her best friend’s birthday.
A former Collie star from Rochdale was surprised by neon lights when she had a party with her friend Ribenette at the age of 28.
Katie, who unveiled her platinum blonde to brunette transformation earlier this month, perfectly complemented her new look with a bold miniskirt and cropped jacket when she went out for dinner in Manchester last night.
The 27-year-old actress, who played Sinead Osbourne on Coronation Street, added a black top with cutout details and fishnet ankle boots.
She wore a caramel brown hairstyle with a half-up half-down hairstyle to frame her face for a night out in Gorilla Bar.
In advance, both Katie and Lee shared a snap on Instagram of a pair of laughing and funny faces together.
“Birthday pe @_leebennett,” the star wrote about her friend.
“No one else wants to be old, gray and funky with more than 10 years of friendship.
“Happy birthday baby !!”
Compliments have been poured into her new look.
“The brunette looks incredible to you,” praised one fan.
“Looks very nice with Katie with brown hair, it suits you,” another said.
“Incredibly wonderful and beautiful love,” another fan praised.
In February, Katie used Instagram to say she didn’t need a man when she had a “gay best friend.”
She shared a pair of smiley snaps on a walk with poetry in honor of Lee.
“The roses are red and the violets are blue,” she writes.
“Who needs a guy when I have a GBF like you?”
Katie who played Sinead in Collie Until 2019, her role as Sinead, who died after fighting cervical cancer, was highly regarded.
Last year she scooped up a national television award for her best serial drama performance.
After being traumatized in the weatherfield when Sinead Katie returned to our screen earlier this year in Series 4 of the BBC One drama The Syndicate about a group of lottery winners.
She tried her hand as a stand-up comedian at a Channel 4 Stand Up to Cancer charity show.
And she will soon appear on Channel 4’s Soap Hollyoaks as a new character, Becky.
As Katie said, it sounds like a huge story ahead. “I hope the story will affect the audience as it covers some very up-to-date and important issues.”

Katie’s Collie Character Sinead was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2018 during pregnancy and was temporarily discontinued because she was worried that it might harm her foetation.
She noticed that the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes and liver and was late on her wedding day in September 2019.
In the soap, Sinead was informed that she was not able to undergo a cervical examination because she was told she was too young at the age of 24.
Sinead’s story called on viewers to lower the age of cervical examinations.
