KOMODO sponsors British tennis player Jody Barrage

We are pleased to announce that Komodo is sponsoring British tennis player Jodie Burrage. Jody is playing at Wimbledon today at 11am so I’m looking forward to it.

We are very proud to be able to support such diligent and promising young athletes. Jody is very environmentally friendly and this partnership was born with praise for such talented players. Jody’s passion and interest in sustainability is seamlessly aligned with everything we support.

As Wimbledon is taking steps to make it more sustainable, we thought the start of the iconic tournament was the best time to lag Jody and show our support. Wimbledon aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2030, and this year announced the reusable Pims Cup and Strawberry Punnet. A small step that makes a big difference. Komodo has a great relationship with Jody and looks forward to seeing her grow up. Today is just the beginning of what we hope for a great partnership. She is Komodo’s ideal customer and looks good on our clothes. We are very excited to be behind this nova and support her today!

Comodo Story

Originally a clothing producer in London, Wanderlust took founder Joe Komod to Bali and Kathmandu. So he fell in love with these beautiful cultures and decided to combine local artistry and skills with modern London life.

We have created a fair and fun brand centered on the lifestyle that KOMODO has become famous for. Clubwear was a big part of the first story of the 90’s, and the party was at the heart of KOMDOO’s world, hosting infamous parties and rapidly boosting the brand’s reputation. Celebrities such as Jamiro Koi and Spice Girls wore KOMODO early on. Our clothes were featured in Leonardo DiCaprio in “The Beach,” which summarizes KOMODO’s travel and backpacking lifestyle. We also provided a simple black T-shirt worn by Angelina Jolie as Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft.

factory

Since its inception, we have worked closely with family-owned factories and visited several times a year to create collections. Our PV knitwear factory in Nepal has been working together for over 10 years and has become like a family to us.

Cloth

Made from GOTS certified luxury weight organic cotton, hemp. Bamboo, Tencel, organic linen, abuse-free wool (always mulesing-free), recycled PET.

Charity

  • Orangutan Sumatran Orangutan Association – Donate each pair of socks sold to support tree planting operations.

  • We worked closely with the Tibetan Relief Fund to help rebuild a school that was recently destroyed after the 2015 earthquake.
  • We are part of 1% of the earth
  • We work closely with Sunrise Orphanage Kathmandu to sponsor our children.
