Jeeves, a payment platform, has partnered with Mastercard to offer locally issued physical and virtual cards to Mexican businesses.
Founded in January 2021, Jeeves is an expense management and business banking company and a principal member of Mastercard, which owns both physical and virtual cards.
The company claims to have entered more than 700 companies in Mexico, including Runa, Moons, Bitso, Kavak and Jüsto.
Jeeves has raised $ 188 million in two rounds so far, along with participants such as Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, CRV, Tencent and Silicon Valley Bank.
The New York-based startup finally raised $ 57 million. September Series B Financing Round, Its valuation was up to $ 500 million.
Mastercard and Jeeves will launch the first physical card in Mexico that will allow businesses to pay in any local currency from any country where Mastercard is currently in operation.
Jeeves CEO and Founder Dileep Thazhmon said: “The startup ecosystem across Mexico and Latin America is thriving.”
