‘Obnoxious’ Aussie slammed over her ‘bizarre’ dance on the crowded London tube: ‘Stop trying to be the main character!’

An Australian influencer has been slammed and for being ’embarrassing’, ‘narcissistic’, and ‘giving all Aussies a bad name’ on a European tube.

Jacquie Alexander, from Melbourne, is on holiday in London and shared a video of herself whipping her hair around and lip-syncing to the viral song ‘Prada’ by CASSO, D-Block Europe, and Ray.

The short clip showed Jacquie dancing around a crowded underground train and attracting annoyed glares from fellow passengers.

‘I’m in my I don’t give a f**k era,’ she captioned the video, unbothered by how her activities inconvenienced other people. ‘The confidence this gives me is unmatched.’

Jacquie soon admitted that she was ‘shaking’ with anxiety immediately after she stopped filming – but that didn’t deter the thousands who criticised her for the impolite behaviour.

Other Aussies have also recently come under fire for poor travel etiquette, such as complaining about Italy’s Amalfi Coast and whining about a ‘traumatising’ hostel stay in Europe

Many called her self-centred and asked her never to do something similar again.

This generation’s narcissism is out of this world. Stop,’ a woman wrote.

‘This is so embarrassing and narcissistic,’ another echoed.

‘Just stop trying to be the main character,’ a third said. ‘This is so cringe.’

While many claimed it was disrespectful of Jacquie to take up so much space on a crowded train during rush hour.

‘I like taking pictures in public but I don’t inconvenience a whole train with people in it. This whole ‘all that matters is me’ narrative isn’t cute,’ a professional model wrote.

‘I’m a girl’s girl until a girl is obnoxious and doesn’t chill out on the tube when lots of people are on it,’ a woman said. ‘Do this stuff when you have an empty carriage.’

‘It’s very rude that you’re in those people’s personal space. I’m all for being confident but this is just downright disrespectful and you’ve filmed them without permission which is even worse. I don’t know what you wanted to achieve from this,’ one said.

Another added, ‘Lack of self awareness is crazy, your hair literally hit the people behind you when they’re just trying to commute to and from work.’

But not everyone was upset – and some congratulated Jacquie for her confidence.

‘Social anxiety is scared of her,’ a woman commented.

‘This is the best thing I’ve ever seen,’ another added.

‘You probably entertained the whole train on their boring journey – you’re not an inconvenience,’ a third wrote.

‘Sometimes I overthink about whether I’ve gotten up too early at my tube stop – but I will not think about that again, so thank you,’ a man said.
