Lawyer sues woman who claims she used sperm to get pregnant without consent

A lawyer is charging the woman £50,000 for using her own sperm to impregnate herself without her consent.

James May, 33, says he suffered “mental anguish” when he discovered he had allegedly cheated.

The circumstances are unknown, but the woman, who is in her 30s, claims to have “intentionally impregnated her” in June or July 2018.

Mei, from Cambridgewas discovered and papers submitted just four months later Londonthe High Court made clear.

He is seeking damages caused by her “negligence, deception” and “conversion”.

It is believed to be the first case in the UK.

Family law expert Anuradha Karl said:

“If a child is born and it is revealed that the petitioner is the legal father, the mother and child will undoubtedly endure because he is open to financial contributions and emotional turmoil. .”

Mr. May and the woman, who were not named, declined to comment.
