Nottingham’s Metal Fire: When 100 firefighters fight the flames, huge flames fill the skyline

A huge 100 firefighters are fighting the flames that forced families to slam doors and windows for their own safety.

A large fire broke out at an industrial facility in Harriman’s Lane, Nottingham, shortly after 7:20 pm on Saturday.

Witnesses claim that a large orange glow illuminates the night sky, while others report smoke swirling from industrial units.

A spokesman for the Nottinghamshire Fire Rescue Team said:

“Keep away from this area, and keep in mind that there are many vehicles heading for the incident. If you live nearby, keep windows and doors closed.”

According to NottinghamshireLive, the fire brigade uses two aerial ladder platforms and high-capacity pumps.

Welfare units are also participating because strong winds generate and carry a large amount of smoke.
