Singer Olly Murs revealed that she had knee surgery after being injured during the performance.
He said bone debris got caught behind his knees after he jumped into the air while singing at the Newmarket racetrack in Cambridgeshire last week.
However, as he continues touring, he confirmed that he would return to the stage later this month.
In an Instagram video, Mars said:
“I’ve been crazy for 72 hours since the gig reached this.
“Basically, after the second song, a piece of bone that was on my knee after jumping caught behind my knee, basically closing my leg and dragging my leg all the way through the gig.”
Mars said he would perform at Newbury Racecourse on August 14.
“It will be another gig,” he said.
“I probably won’t run around as usual.
“There may be stools I sit on, but I can’t cancel these gigs for you.”
In 2019, Mars had previously had knee surgery after a ligament injury.
