Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh set the internet on fire when she appeared to cut CNN’s Don Lemon in half in her acceptance speech.

Michelle Yeoh Using her acceptance speech on Sunday night, she launched what appeared to be an attack on Don Lemon, declaring:

The statement was CNN Nikki Haley, 51, said on Feb. 16: Republican Party Presidential candidate, ‘not in her prime’.

Lemon’s words immediately caused an uproar, with co-hosts Poppy Harlow and Caitlan Collins looking shocked, Lemmon missing the next few shows, and grunting staff on an emergency conference call. I raised it and apologized.

“People think women’s prime is in their 20s, 30s, maybe 40s,” Lemon said, showing the co-hosts’ visible disappointment.

After Harlow questioned his remarks, he did not back down.

Born in Malaysia, Yeo is the first Asian woman to win Best Actress.

“For all the boys and girls looking as much as I do tonight, this is a ray of hope and possibility,” she said.

“Here’s the proof. Dream big. And dreams come true.”

“And ladies, don’t let anyone tell you you’re past your prime. Never give up.’

She went on to thank the cast and crew of Everything Everywhere All At Once and dedicated the award to her mother who was watching from her home in Malaysia.
