PCI Anniversary: New data is showing impact, so start your personalized care learning journey

The Personalized Care Institute (PCI) celebrates its first anniversary this month by giving healthcare professionals a “first month” by using the free online core skills module as the first step in their personalized care training journey. We encourage you to do it.

To commemorate this opportunity, PCI is publishing new data based on patient experience from 4,410 appointments. This indicates that patients are statistically significantly more likely to understand, be motivated, and easily feel the advice given when they receive personalized care. I feel that I am following, controlling their recovery, listening, and being valued *.

Nine out of ten said they felt that a personalized care approach to health care, outlined as a key focus of the NHS long-term plan, would help manage health problems more effectively.

PCI’s Online Core Skills Module is completely free, takes only 60 minutes to complete, and all learners get a learning certificate as proof of professional development. According to the data, 9 out of 10 (87%) medical professionals who complete the course say that the course has a positive impact on their day-to-day work.

Dr Pauline Foreman, Clinical Director of PCI, said: More people will be attending this month.

“Our latest research shows how personalized care helps patients. That’s why training is so important. Our free courses, regardless of profession or age. Suitable for all health and care professionals across all health environments. I am making changes to empower patients by investing in learning and development in this area for all medical professionals. We encourage you to help in the actual promotion. “

A personalized approach to health care puts all patients at the center of care and shifts the focus from “what’s important to you” to “what’s important to you.” The Core Skills Module was completed in just the first year by professionals representing more than 25 disciplines, including physiotherapists, midwives, GPs, nurses and emergency medical personnel.

The Personalized Care Institute is backed by the NHS England and Improvement and is supported by more than 40 major medical institutions, including the Royal University, major professional associations and patient groups. Home to personalized care professionals, they share research, education and knowledge with an international audience. PCI is working towards the goal of the NHS Long-Term Plan to train 75,000 healthcare professionals by 2024.
