Plans are underway for 335 homes that may form part of a new £ 800 million neighborhood on the outskirts of Nottingham.

Urban design firm IDP and highway design firm Patrick Parsons have submitted a new housing design statement on the vast Fairham development that will form “Phase 3” of the region’s master plan.

They act on behalf of Countryside Properties, a national homebuilder, called “the UK’s leading mixed ownership developer specializing in community building.”

Eventually, up to 3,000 homes could be built on Fareham’s premises, becoming known as the “Second Westbridge Ford.”

South of Clifton, on the outskirts of the A453 Remembrance Way, near the village of Burton Infabis.

The overall plan was completed in stages over a 15-year period, with details of the latest stages revealed this month.

The developer said in a statement: “The Phase 3 site is a gateway to broader development and could be one of the first residential phases offered.

“The proposed squares are mainly double-decker in height.

“The block of a three-story corner apartment separates the southwestern end with a series of 2.5-story units placed between them.

“A four-story scale is acceptable, but this usually requires more apartment offerings that were not considered feasible from a commercial point of view.”

According to the plan, 335 homes will be built at the entrance to the Fairham site, right next to Nottingham Road, near Clifton Park and Ride and Sylbury Close.

Developers state that homes are available for rent and private sale, some are affordable.

The statement adds: “In total, we are proposing 335 new homes, from one-bedroom maisonettes to large four-bedroom family houses.

“The approval of the overview requires that at least 10% of the homes be affordable, but the Rushcliffe Autonomous Region Council’s regional planning policy requires 30%, which is equivalent to 100 of the total 335 homes. To do.”

It is the third developer to submit the plan for the 606 acre site.

The Redrow East Midlands recently submitted to the Rushcliffe Borough Council a plan application for 93 new homes in the first phase of development, just off Nottingham Road in the north.
