Police dog Olly helps young people regain their ability to care for their home after stealing a master breaker

A police dog named Olly took action after a young man stole a main circuit breaker from a care facility’s power system. Residents have lost power.

Mersey Police Dogs tweeted yesterday (Wednesday) at 11:44 pm that a small device controlling the main power source entering the facility via a circuit breaker box or panel was removed. When pulled out, all power will be turned off.

The unit said: “Previously, some young people thought it would be interesting to steal a master circuit breaker from a long-term care facility and leave the vulnerable population free of electricity.

“Fortunately, PD Olly was there to quickly find the master breaker thrown into the nearby yard. The inhabitants are warm and safe.”

Police did not identify the care facility or the area where the incident occurred.
