Primark’s new vintage section lets shoppers buy clothes from designers like Christian Dior for just £20

While hunting for bargains in Primark’s brand new vintage section, I found, unbelievably, a Christian Dior tie for just £20.

I’m at the High Street Giant’s flagship store in Oxford Circus, London. Here you can buy second-hand designer clothes. Shoppers already.

A new section, called WornWell, is located right at the entrance of the four-story megastore.

It went on sale yesterday and is here to stay – which means shoppers can buy their Primark Carry and grab all your precious clothes under one roof.

Primark has partnered with The Vintage Wholesale Company to launch a mini section of They are also installed in our Birmingham and Manchester stores.

It’s no surprise that Primark is stepping into the used clothing market.

Sales at UK second-hand stores jumped 27.2% last year, according to data from research firm Statista.

As Asda announced last year. We sell popular items of Gucci for a limited time.

Primark’s shelves are home to some of our favorite brands, including Levi’s, Doc Martens, Converse, and Nike.

There are also designer brands such as Christian Dior.

But what about the price? i came to check it out.

Designer Clothing From £20

Big designer brands are way beyond my budget, but buying second hand is much more affordable.

I found a colorful Christian Dior tie hanging at £20.

I compared the prices of similar Dior ties on eBay and found that some were selling for between £31 and £11 more.

I scoured other big brands and found a patchwork Carhartt jacket for £85.

Christian Dior tie sold for £20 – a real bargain

I checked on eBay and found a vintage jacket from the same label for £92.

Dr Martins is also on sale for £40. I looked online and found similar versions for £44 to £50.

A Ralph Lauren sweater sells for £35, but they sell for about the same price on eBay, so there was no real difference.

If you’re lucky, you can pick up expensive items like Vivienne Westwood t-shirts and Yeezy trainers from £20.

However, there is no guarantee that your local gem will have gems like this.

“Unbelievable” price

I wasn’t the only one impressed with the price.

Redcar student Trinity Brown, 18, said she was “surprised” to see Primark selling used clothing and was impressed with the prices.

“The designer stuff here is a real bargain,” she said. “It’s cheaper than other vintage shops.”

Meanwhile, model and actor Somriddaw Dasgupta, 22, from West London, thought it was “unbelievable” that Primark was selling affordable designer gear in its stores.

“I’m probably going to buy a sweater and a T-shirt.”

Manchester-born singer Livie Carrarias, 21, said it was the cheapest vintage shop she’d ever been to.

She went shopping for a Christmas present for her mother and said,

In the future

With only three Primark stores offering vintage sections, you might feel left out if you don’t live nearby.

But we may see more pop-ups next year.

Tim Kelly, Director of New Business Development at Primark, said:

He hints that shoppers will see these vintage sections at more of Primark’s 191 stores in the UK next year.

“We have an exciting pipeline going into 2023, working on which stores and where it will work, and potentially internationally as well.”
