Roehampton: Two ‘dangerous’ teens jailed for fatal stabbings

Two teenagers become rival drug dealers, the Met police Said.

Muhammad Danso, 18, Fieldfair Road, Bexleywas sentenced to 10 years in prison for prison 24 years after the death of Abdirizak Hassan. Danso, who had previously pleaded not guilty to murder charges, was found guilty of manslaughter at Kingston Criminal Court on Friday.

A 15-year-old boy was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to seven years in prison the same day.

Senior Detective Detective Adam Gutridge said: “This case clearly highlights the extreme levels of violence associated with the illegal drug trade and its devastating impact on our communities.

“Hours of diligent and painstaking investigation of CCTV and telephone data evidence linked the suspects to the scene and to each other.

“Knowing that three dangerous men have been taken from our streets made the effort completely worthwhile.”

The two, along with 19-year-old Elijah Roy of Carey Gardens in Wandsworth, who had previously been convicted of murder, tricked Hassan into entering his address. Roehampton May 5, 2021.

Police said three men attacked Mr. Hassan and stabbed him in the chest as he entered. Police reported that he was called at 11:04 a.m. on May 6 and a body was found in his Close apartment block in Dowdeswell.

The group used the phone of the woman who owned the property to lure Hassan to the location, police said. The trio had her claim that they wanted to buy her drugs before attacking her victim at 5:20 p.m. when her victim arrived.

All three were convicted at Kingston Criminal Court on 27 May. Roy, who was convicted of murder, will be sentenced on November 2nd.

“Today’s ruling will not reunite Abdi Rizak with his family, but I sincerely hope they will have a sense of justice and closure now that the court proceedings are over.”
