Shell Energy to take over Goto Energy’s customers

Ofgem has appointed Shell Energy Retail to supply Goto Energy’s customers after the energy company collapsed earlier this week.

Neil Lawrence, Director of Retail at Ofgem, said: We understand that this news can be disturbing to our customers, but don’t worry. Their energy supply will continue as usual and the customer’s credit balance will be respected.

“Your energy supply will not be interrupted. Shell will contact you for more information over the next few days. Once the transfer is complete, customers will be able to search for better deals as needed.”
