Identity security company Sontiq has acquired data breache intelligence company Breach Clarity to take advantage of the Breach IQ platform.
Following the deal, all Sontiq products (IdentityForce, Cyberscout, and EZShield) come standard with Breach IQ.
The system will be readily available to some Sontiq clients and is planned for broader deployment in the second quarter of 2021. Neither company discloses the financial details of the alliance.
According to Breach Control, the service is an AI-driven algorithm developed by co-founder Jim Van Dyke. The company claims that it can analyze 1,300 data points to discover the severity of publicly reported data breaches.
Van Dyke and co-founder Al Pascual have joined Sontiq as Senior Vice President.
“It’s getting harder and harder [consumers] To monitor who has the data and where the data is leaked, “says Van Dyke.
“By integrating artificial intelligence algorithms and risk expertise, Sontiq provides millions of consumers with clarity about individual risk profiles.”
He adds: “Combining personalized advice from Sontiq’s white glove resolution experts with recovery has made consumers better than ever.”
Brian Lounge, CEO of Sontiq, says people don’t accept “general health advice” from doctors. The same applies to digital health.
“Breach IQ provides the kind of analysis that individuals have done without getting anywhere else and for too long.”
Sontiq claims that the first quarter of 2021 is active. BreachClarity is the second acquisition this year, following the acquisition of insurance firm Cyberscout.
Around the same time, a Boston-based company launched a new intelligent identity platform and a patent-pending reputation management utility.
