TAMHI Delivers 1,000 Easter Eggs to Children in Northern Belfast

After a special Easter egg delivery, there were more than 1,000 happy faces across North Belfast on Wednesday night.

Tonight’s event is hosted by TAMHI (Tackling Awareness of Mental Health Issues), a Northern Ireland-based mental health charity, and works with sports clubs and groups that use sports to raise awareness of mental health and resilience. I am.

TAMHI works with sports clubs, schools and youth groups to make mental health fun and engaging.

Egg drops are an annual tradition of the group, Pandemic, They want to liven up the game this year.

Superheroes and popular characters arrived at the family door tonight and distributed chocolate gifts.

TAMHI’s Mickey Meehan told Belfast Live: There were also many egg donations. We do this every year and it’s our “one egg equals one smile” campaign.

“It’s just to make some people happy and to spread a little positive feelings. North Belfast.. That’s everything. Last year I made 280 eggs, but this year I actually played up to 1,000 eggs.

“If you think about it, 1,000 eggs are 1,000 happy faces, and if you’re a parent, you’ll be happy too. I’m happy to bring this to the entire Belfast community. I thought. It was great to see all their faces.

“If we had a bigger team, we would be beyond North Belfast. That’s our goal for next year. We want to expand. We’re never standing still and we’re not going to stop.

“Too many people thank each one, but I want to thank the young people. They inspire us every day. They are really great.”

TAMHI has also visited many families who have been particularly affected by the coronavirus in the last 12 months.
