Spanish fashion retailer Tendam has acquired a majority stake in the label Slowlove for a private amount with its latest addition to its growing portfolio.
Tendam, who also owns the Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro, Springfield, Women’secret, Fifty and Hoss Intropia brands, will be in charge of managing Slowlove.
However, the creative control of the label, which mixes “Urban Folk Style and Bohemian Chic Essence,” is left to the founders Sara Carbonero and Isabel Jimenez, who founded the company in 2015.
Slowlove has been working with Tendam’s Cortefiel brand since last summer.
“Last year we launched a very successful collaboration between Slowlove and Cortefiel, and today we are pleased to announce that this agreement will further develop the relationship,” said Pedro, Executive Managing Director of Cortefiel. Del Hierro and Marie Castellvi-Dépée said. Hoss Intropia, in a statement.
Castellvi-Dépée, who oversees the operations of Slowlove, continues: “In the early stages, our primary goal is to help Slowlove evolve and prepare for growth. The brand will benefit from Tendham’s resources, organizational and operational expertise.”
Slowlove will launch its first collection under new ownership on April 8th. The Spring / Summer 2021 collection is available on the Slowlove website, online Cortefiel and Pedro del Hierro, and the entire network of Cortefiel and Pedro del Hierro physical stores. ..
This is the latest step in expanding Tendham’s portfolio. The company also announced this month the launch of a new brand, High Spirits, designed for women between the ages of 18 and 35. This is a fully online label for sale on the Springfield Marketplace. Springfield aims to include nearly 20 new labels in the coming months, Tendham said at the time of the announcement of High Spirits.
It followed last month with news that Tendam will reopen Hos Intropia in the spring-summer 2021 of an affordable luxury brand acquired in 2019.
Hoss Intropia has its own web store and will also showcase its collections at Tendam’s Cortefiel and Pedro del Hierro branded 20 Spanish flagship shop-in-shops and 6 other showroom concepts.
The brand has since “gradually increased its international presence” within department stores and throughout Tendham’s franchise network.
