The author, 9, wants to inspire others to “live in the power of their name.”

The 9-year-old author hopes her book will inspire others to “live in the power of their name” and celebrate being unique.

Isis Damali, who was only seven years old when she started writing the book Isis Meets Isis, told PA news agency she wanted to write a book that pays tribute to her name, which has ancient Egyptian roots.

“My name comes from an Egyptian goddess of life force.” A young writer from the South East London Said.

“I really like my name because it is exotic. I love Egyptians and how they lived, and I want to write about it and share it with others. I did.”

In this book, Isis explores ancient Egypt with the goddess of the same name as her.

Isis said she hopes the book will inspire others to share their love of ancient Egypt and discover the beauty of their names.

“I want my readers to live in the power of their names,” she said.

Isis advises young, budding authors to “try again and again” when it comes to the writing process and be positive about their work.

“Know that even if you write a book and it doesn’t get published, you can keep your work and try again and again,” she said.

“Have lots of positive thoughts about your job and know it’s special.

“And if you’re worried about your work being different, know that being different is unique. Be yourself and bring your point of view.

“people Books can be written at any age, so I don’t want to be surprised when young people write books.

Isis’ grandmother Enomwoyi Damali, whom she affectionately calls her Tan Tan (grandmother Trini), is also a writer and told PA that Isis always talks about her name.

“She used to say that she liked her name, that her name was very special, that her name was very unique, and I said to her, ‘Isis, write a book about it.’ Why don’t you try it?’ said the 59-year-old.

“She was named after an Egyptian goddess, so it’s kind of a combination of love for her name and love for all things Egyptian that’s why she wrote this wonderful story.”

Damari said Isis had a clear vision for her book along the way and didn’t let others get in the way of her getting it just right. She’s even her Tan Tan.

“Isis wrote a draft over a year ago and gave it to me, and I read it,” she said.

“And about the comment at the end of the book, I said, ‘Is that really what you meant?

“And she was adamant that she wanted this in the story, and they agreed that this comment – this really funny line – absolutely needed to stay.”

Daniela Breckner, founder of Conscious Dreams Publishing, the publisher of the book, said, “She smelled weird like old sprouts, but I felt safe with her.” He added, “It was my favorite line.” Their descriptions omit any mention of smell, but this vivid description really brought Isis to life and emphasized how old she was. ”

She also shared Damari’s thoughts on Isis’ clear stance on what her book should look like.

“Isis wrote the book herself in great detail and worked very well with illustrator Bryony Dick to make sure all the images were correct and her vision was always clear throughout the process,” says the 43-year-old. A woman from South London’s West Norwood told PA.

“She is so wonderful to work with.”

She also added that young writers are already beginning to share her “pearls of wisdom” with the next generation of writers.

“We were doing a storytelling workshop and Isis was in the workshop as a guest speaker,” she said.

“So wonderful to hear her impart her pearls of wisdom in such a clear and expressive way and to see her infuse confidence and inspiration into our other young writers. It’s just.”

Brechner added that Isis’ mother, Subira Damali, 27, first reached out to her about publishing the book and has been really supportive of her daughter’s writing, adding, “I’m very proud of my daughter.” I think,” he commented.

The 9-year-old has already achieved incredible feats by publishing a book, but she doesn’t plan to slow down anytime soon.

“Maybe the next book I write will be Gods in Egyptian times,” added Isis.

“It feels really good to have your name in the book and it feels like a part of you because it’s your creation, so I keep writing more.”
