Police began an investigation after allegedly a parliamentary garbage truck was carried when a worker collided with a wall during a break.

They added that: “A 17-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of worsening vehicle hijacking and vehicle damage and was released until further investigation was conducted.

“The other two are believed to have escaped from the scene on foot. Investigations are underway to confirm their identities.”

Onlookers watched paramedics attend the scene where the vehicle was found lying surrounded by rubble.

The police car was filmed at Briton Ferry’s Giant Grave Road at around 9:40 am this morning.

Julie Evans, who lives near the place where the crash took place, said she was at home when she heard the “big bang.”

“I thought the house had exploded. I knew something bad had happened.”

She said she saw a young man who appeared to be injured get off the truck and escape from the scene.

“Immediately after leaving the vehicle on Thursday morning, July 22, I was driven along Briton Ferry’s Brinha Brid Road and then collided with the canal wall of Briton Ferry’s Giant Grab Road. It is understood that young people are involved and that South Wales police are continuing to investigate this issue. “
