EXCLUSIVE: Meghan Markle flaunts her California glow in a $240 strapless black-and-white dress and carries funky $430 beaded purse as she enjoys an early birthday date night with Prince Harry

Meghan Markle put her most fashionable foot forward on Tuesday night as she enjoyed an early birthday dinner alongside Prince Harry at an upscale restaurant near their home in Montecito.

The 41-year-old – who will celebrate her birthday officially on Friday – was pictured making her way out of Tre Lune restaurant alongside her husband, 38, looking every inch the birthday belle of the ball in a trendy strapless dress.

Meghan showed off her California glow and slender figure in the $240 black and white column-style maxi dress from Australian fashion brand Posse, which is designed – according to the label’s description – to ‘hug every curve’ courtesy of its stretch jersey fabric.

The mother-of-two kept things simple with her footwear, donning a pair of flat black sandals, however she added some pizzazz to her look in the form of her handbag – opting for a $428 funky beaded wooden clutch from Cult Gaia, a brand beloved by influencers and A-listers alike.

The mother-of-two wore her long brunette locks in a low ponytail that hung down her back – and she had a slick of nude lip gloss on for an added injection of glamour.

For her jewelry, the Duchess kept things simple, choosing to go without any necklaces in order to allow her décolletage to remain on full display in the strapless dress design.

However, she wasn’t without a good dose of bling for her birthday evening on the town, adding a pair of chunky gold hoop earrings, as well as a stack of bracelets on one wrist, including her favorite $6,900 Cartier Love bracelet and what appeared to be her $4,750 Jennifer Meyer Gold Mini Bezel Tennis Bracelet.

The piece de resistance was her beloved $26,000 gold Cartier Tank Française watch – which once belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.

Although she no longer required them by the time she left the restaurant, Meghan also carried a pair of dark sunglasses in her hand as she made her way out of the eatery and into a waiting vehicle with Harry.

Perhaps eager to let his wife shine ahead of her birthday, Harry wore more low-key look that featured a pale blue button-down shirt, beige pants, and a pair of tan slip-on shoes.

Like his wife, the Duke of Sussex was carrying a pair of sunglasses in his hand as they walked out of the restaurant.

The outing marks the first time that Harry and Meghan have been seen out in public together for months now – and came just hours after the pair were seen putting on a united front in a pre-taped video while making calls to young people who are working to improve the digital world.

As they grapple with their falling popularity and questions over the future projects of ‘Brand Sussex,’ the Duke and Duchess surprised US recipients of the first Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund (RTYPF) grants with phone calls to congratulate them.

Harry, 38, also mentioned their children Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, telling one winner in a call: ‘Thank you for doing everything that you do. Our kids especially are incredibly grateful.’

Meghan, 41, adding: ‘They don’t know it yet, but they will!’

Harry and Meghan have been laying low and prior to the video were last spotted at the Ms Foundation’s Women of Vision Awards in New York on May 16.

The couple’s Spotify tie-up ended in June and concerns were raised over the future of their Netflix deal, while Harry’s green travel project Travalyst made a major announcement about a big revamp in May without mentioning him.

The clip was released by the RTYPF rather than the couple, but features slick footage of them speaking at their $33.5 million Montecito Mansion.

The Duke was dressed smart casually with brown chinos and a white shirt, while his wife wore a camel sleeveless top and matching skirt from Malibu brand Bleusalt, which she paired with minimalist gold earrings.

This marks the start of a few public appearances with the couple said to be in attendance at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf for events between September 9 and 16. It’s not yet known whether they will visit the UK during their time abroad.
