A fight with Conor McGregor will appeal to both Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman.
The 31-year-old Briton will make his first defense of his UFC welterweight title in a mouth-watering trilogy fight with 35-year-old Usman.
Edwards shocked the world last August when he overthrew the former pound-for-pound champion at UFC 278.
Rocky scored a Hail Mary head kick in the embers of the fifth and final round to become Britain’s second UFC champion.
Now the UFC’s former pound-for-pound king, Brummy’s series decider leads the bill at UFC 286 on Saturday night at the O2 Arena.
But after former two-division world champion McGregor outlines his ambitions for the welterweight title, another huge megafight could be on the cards, whoever the winner is.
The Irishman is set to take on 170-pound Michael Chandler later this year after finishing filming The Ultimate Fighter.
Speaking to the MMA Hour, McGregor, a former featherweight and lightweight gold medalist, said: [a welterweight title shot]That’s why I want it. ”
And the reigning champion is completely open to facing off against Notorious.
When asked about the possibilities for this week, Edwards said: So whoever comes can get it. ”
