Investing.com – At the closing price on Wednesday, US stocks were mixed as the sector’s rise pushed up stock prices and sector losses lowered stock prices.

The closing price on the New York Stock Exchange rose 0.29% to a record high, but the index rose 0.07% and the index fell 0.37%.

The largest winner of the session at the Dow Jones Industrial Average (NYSE :) traded at 68.08, up 2.81% or 1.86 points at the closing price. Chevron Corp (NYSE :) rose 2.67% or 2.83 points to finish at 108.94, and Merck & Company Inc (NYSE :) rose 2.25% or 1.71 points to 77.70.

Includes the biggest losers Boeing (NYSE :) lost 2.38% or 5.55 points to trade at 228.08 in the second half of the deal.Walt Disney The company (NYSE :) fell 1.49% or 2.74 points, closing at 181.51. Visa Inc Class A (NYSE :) fell 1.14% or 2.65 points to 229.38.

The top performers of S & P500 Devon energy Corporation (NYSE :) rose 7.55% to 25.22, Under armor Inc C (NYSE :) rose 7.15% to settle at 21.13 and Under Armor Inc A (NYSE :) rose 6.95% to close at 25.54.

The worst performer is Verisk Analytics Inc (NASDAQ :) traded in the second half, down 8.45% to 172.59, AmerisourceBergen (NYSE :) down 5.56% to 118.85, Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc (NYSE :) closed at 122.53, down 4.46%.

The top performers on the Nasdaq Composite Index Nemaura Medical Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ :) Up 134.47% to 11.02, Chiasma Inc (NASDAQ :) rose 39.79% to settle at 3.97, and Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation (NASDAQ :) rose 31.20% to close at 25.02.

The worst performers were Cocrystal Pharma Inc (NASDAQ :), down 31.78% to 1.4600 in late trading. Invasion Inc (NASDAQ :) lost 29.31% and settled at 10.18. A series of Brands Group Inc (NASDAQ :) closed at 12.4700, down 26.73%.

From 1712 to 1488, rising stocks outnumbered falling stocks and 92 stocks remained flat. On the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, it fell in 1966 and rose in 1384, but on the New York Stock Exchange, 109 ended unchanged.

The implied volatility measurement for the S & P 500 option increased 4.59% to 19.15.

In commodity trading, June gold futures rose 0.62% (11.05) to $ 1787.05 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, crude oil in June fell 0.65% (0.43) to $ 65.26 a barrel, while Brent crude oil contracts in July fell 0.35% (0.24) to $ 68.64 a barrel.

The EUR / USD pair was down 0.08% to 1.2003, while the USD / JPY was down 0.12% to 109.20.

US dollar index futures rose 0.37% to 91.265.
