Vertu Appoints Chief Technology Officer to Accelerate Digital Drives

Vertu Motors has appointed Bruce Clark as Chief Technology Officer, a newly created role within the group. Clark was formerly the IT director.

This role covers the development of digitalization by a powerful in-house software and robotics development team of 50 people.

Vertu adopted digital early and started full online retailing of used cars in May 2017, developing the Click2Drive sales technology platform.

This role is also involved in data and cybersecurity, IT operations that provide IT hardware, group sales and after-sales connectivity, and data analysis.

Clark joined Vertu in 2013 and has been an IT director for the past two years. He is currently on the group’s CEO committee.

Vertu is currently looking for a new IT director to replace Clark and a person responsible for the data.

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive Officer of Vertu Motors, said:

“Vertu has long been a leader in this sector in terms of technology, as demonstrated by offering full online sales of used cars faster than anyone else in 2017. With these changes, Vertu has long been a leader. Will acquire the skills and strategies needed to drive omni-channel services in the next decade or later. “
