Will Smith asks Hamilton’s creator to help with the one-man show

Will Smith asked Hamilton’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda to help him open his solo exhibition.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air made a proposal at the Graham Norton Show, promoting his new movie, King Richard, a biography of tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams’ father.

Miranda is his directorial debut, Tick, Tick … Boom! I appeared on the show to talk about and responded with surprise to the idea.

The composer and playwright, who discussed Hamilton’s return to the stage with Norton, said:

“It’s really exciting to be back. The audience and the cast are happy to be there.”

Smith said: “This is probably terrible to ask at this point, but I want to do a solo exhibition and hope to help me do that.

“I had it in my head for years.”

Miranda shouted, “I heard it here first.”

Smith also revealed how his wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, still refused to see the funny side of the joke he played to her.

“She intended to see my family for the first time,” he said.

“I grew up in a very religious family and my grandmother Gigi has been with Jesus all the time.

“She didn’t know who Jada was, so I made her movie and thought my grandmother would be watching the love scene by the time Jada arrived.

“When she came in, my grandmother was in the middle of the scene, she looked up and told Jada.” When I was growing up, people needed to undress to make a movie. There was no”.

“Jada took me aside and said,’Why do you do that?'” I said, “I promise you that it’s interesting, maybe not now. Maybe, but one day this will provide us with years of joy. “

“We’ve been together for 27 years and she literally never laughed,” he added.

The Graham Norton Show will air on BBC One on Friday night at 10:35 pm.
