Man arrested after pedestrian hit by car in Colindale crash

Roads were closed to traffic in the Colindale neighborhood of Edgware Road near Corindeep Lane on Saturday (June 24) after a man was hit.

Ambulance crews arrived at the scene at 10:15 am and the pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment, which was determined not to be life-threatening.

Police said the driver of the car did not stop, but was soon found.

The man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving dangerously and failing to stop.

He is still in police custody.

Edgware Road has since been closed to traffic, but an investigation into the incident continues.
