32-year-old man charged with ‘stabbing wife to death at home’ before fleeing
A husband appears in court charged with stabbing his wife to death after a knife wound was found 110km from their home.
Police found Diana Dufter, 36, a mother of two, dead on her Northampton estate shortly after noon last Friday.
That was after her husband, Philip Dufter, 32, was taken from London’s Euston station to hospital with a stab wound.
He will appear in Northampton Magistrate’s Court today for the murder of Diana.
Duffter was taken into custody ahead of a hearing in the town’s Crown Court on Tuesday.
He was taken to hospital under police custody after being found by British Transport Police officers in Euston.
Posthumously, it was confirmed that Diana had died from multiple stab wounds.
Diana, a student nurse who has two children, has been flooded with tributes.
