All four suffered gunshot wounds at around 2pm today when an unidentified assailant staged a drive-by shooting outside St Aloysius Church on Phoenix Road across from Euston Station.
The women, ages 48, 54 and 41, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but police suspected the 48-year-old had suffered “life-altering” injuries. I said yes.
A 7-year-old victim was also taken to hospital, but there is no update on her condition.
The victims were present at the funeral of Frecia Calderón, 50, and her daughter Sara Sanchez, 20.

Police were filmed at the scene of the shooting outside a funeral service on Phoenix Road next to Euston Station.
The Met issued a statement, arguing that initial investigations suggested the gunfire was fired from a moving vehicle and fled the scene immediately.

Frecia Calderon died after suffering a pulmonary embolism after arriving at Heathrow from Colombia on 5 November.
Daughter Sara Sanchez, who was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago, died 25 days after “giving up all hope,” according to her family.
It is unclear why the funeral was targeted by an unidentified shooter.

Metropolitan Airlines issued a statement, claiming that initial investigations suggested the shooting was fired from a moving vehicle and fled the scene immediately.
“There is a sizeable police presence in the area. An urgent investigation is underway and details of the incident have not yet been released,” the MET said.
“At this early stage, there were no arrests.”
