All 6 older cars under £3,000 are ULEZ exempt – here’s how to cash in
With the ULEZ charging zone set to expand, many Brits are buying new motors that fit the required engine specs.
of ULEZ is an area of London A place where only eco-efficient vehicles can enter.
Most vehicle drivers pay a fee of £12.50or find another way to enter the capital.
However, if your Classic is over 40 years old and registered in the Historic Vehicle Tax class, you do not need to pay the ULEZ fee.
Conveniently, auto experts at insurance company Haggerty highlight five older cars that are affordable with the ULEZ exemption.
Automotive expert James Mills hagertysaid to this is money: “The Ultra Low Emissions Zone will impact hundreds of thousands of drivers living in and visiting London, including owners of collectible old cars under 40 years old. Cars old enough to be exempt from ULEZ. But it’s user-friendly enough to make you feel comfortable when driving in the capital.
“And the good news is that anyone can use Hagerty Price Guide’s online valuation tool to identify a pre-1983 classic and tell you exactly how much it will cost to buy one.”
These are classic cars that automotive experts recommend buying for price and reliability.
