BBC EastEnders boss casts ITV Emmerdale star Patsy Kensit as ‘Laura Pierce’s mom’
BBC EastEnders Boss has confirmed that former Emmerdale and Holby City star Patsy Kensit will join the soap’s cast in the coming months.
The 54-year-old actress will join the cast for a “brief period” before Christmas, with rumors that she could play the mother of Laura Pierce, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The Sun reported that she was set to play a role in “one of their biggest storylines to date” and is set to enter the soap at Christmas.
Viewers are devastated by Laura’s diagnosis of a brain tumor, played by Daniel Harrold.
In a touching scene last week, Jay Brown, Ben Mitchell, Billy Mitchell, and Honey Mitchell vowed to be with Laura “every step.”

Kensit previously starred in EastEnders, reportedly saying that she “loves” playing a “strong matriarch” like Peggy Mitchell, played by the late Barbara Windsor for 22 years.
Kensit told Radio Times in 2019:
