Charles Bronson Release Date Updated — Infamous 70-Year-Old Prisoner Remains In Prison After 50 Years In Prison

Bronson made ‘real progress’ despite decision to deny freedom

Today, Charles Bronson’s parole board explained why it refused to release the notorious criminal.

The board said he “lacks the skills” necessary to cope with public life.

But they added that there had been “real progress”.

The summary added: “The commission acknowledged that Mr. Salvador genuinely desires progress and is willing to work towards his release.

“We thought there was evidence of improved self-control and improved emotional management.

“However, the committee noted his history of persistent rule-breaking and that Mr Salvador had little problem with this.

“He lives strictly by his own rules and codes of conduct and is quick to judge others by his own standards. Must be evaluated in context.

“In the Commission’s view, it is unclear exactly what contains Mr. Salvador’s risks. It is unclear whether strong external control over custody is the main cause, or if his attitude has really changed. .”
